Analisa Perbandingan W-lan 802.11n, W-lan 802.ac dan W-lan 802.11ax Pada Aplikasi Live Streaming Youtube dan Facebook
This study aims to perform a comparative analysis of the performance of WLAN 802.11n, 802.11ac, and 802.11ax networks in the context of YouTube and Facebook live streaming applications. In the growing digital era, live video streaming services have become very popular among internet users. Therefore, it is important to evaluate and understand the capabilities of different WLAN networks to support this application. In this study, we used a simulation method to compare the performance of the three most commonly used WLAN standards, namely 802.11n, 802.11ac, and 802.11ax. We measure several key performance parameters, including throughput, latency, and network reliability, while live streaming YouTube and Facebook. The results of the analysis show that the 802.11ax standard provides significantly better performance compared to 802.11n and 802.11ac in live streaming applications. The 802.11ax standard offers higher throughput, lower latency, and greater network reliability. This is mainly due to improved MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) technology and more efficient spectrum access techniques in 802.11ax. However, it is important to note that these results also depend on other factors such as signal quality, network density, and network device configurations. In addition, although 802.11ax has better performance, devices supporting this standard may not yet be widespread in the market today, and the availability of compatible infrastructure may be a constraint. This research provides valuable insights for users and IT professionals in choosing the right WLAN standard to support YouTube and Facebook live streaming applications. In an effort to provide a better user experience, companies and organizations may consider adopting the latest network technologies such as 802.11ax to improve the quality of their streaming services.
