Rancang Bangun Sistem Pendeteksi Peringatan Dini Bencana Gempa Bumi dan Tsunami Berbasis Internet Of Things
Internet of Thing (IoT) can be defined as the ability of various devices to be connected to each other and exchange data through the internet network. According to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, there is a stipulation on the magnitude of an earthquake that can cause a tsunami. An earthquake with a magnitude >7.6 has the potential to trigger a tsunami. Tsunamis sometimes hit land in the form of giant walls of water (especially in large tsunamis). Rising water levels can reach 15-30 meters, reach several kilometers from the coast, and cause great damage and casualties. There is already an earthquake detection prototype and a system connected to a mobile-based application. However, at the time of system testing, the sensors contained in the prototype house were moved manually to obtain a value from the vibration sensor, and there was no prototype of a tsunami early warning system. The prototype of the earthquake detection tool and making a prototype of a tsunami early warning system with internet of things was made using NodeMCU 8266 as a microcontroller, DC Motor L298N as a driving force for the prototype house and a piezoelectric vibration sensor as a shock detection. The house prototype can move automatically with the help of controls from the blynk mobile application and will send notifications to the telegram bot when the house shakes (earthquake) and when the water rises (tsunami)
