Analisis Usahatani Kelapa Sawit Swadaya di Desa Benteng Hilir Kecamatan Mempura Kabupaten Siak Provinsi Riau
The oil palm plant (Elaeis Guineensis Jacq) is named after Elais Guineensis given by Jacquin in 1763. Mempura sub-district is one of the people working in the oil palm plantation subsector. The research aims to: 1) Determine the characteristics of smallholders and the profile of independent oil palm farmers in Benteng Hilir Village, Mempura District, Siak Regency, Riau Province, 2) Analyze cultivation techniques for independent oil palm farming in Benteng Hilir Village, Mempura District, Siak Regency, Riau Province, 3) Analyze the use of production factors, production costs, income and efficiency of independent oil palm farming in Benteng Hilir Village, Mempura District, Siak Regency, Riau Province. This research was carried out in Benteng Hilir Village, Mempura District, Siak Regency, Riau Province, from January to June 2023. The method used in this study is the survey method. The data analyzed are processed descriptively, qualitatively and quantitatively. The results showed: 1) The average age of farmers is 48 years, the level of farmer education is 9 years, the length of farming experience is 15 years, the number of dependents of farmer families is 3 people and the farmer's land area is 2 hectares. 2) Cultivation techniques used by farmers at the stage of oil palm farming in Benteng Hilir Village in accordance with theory, namely, land processing, seed selection and harvesting. Meanwhile, the stages of oil palm farming in Benteng Hilir Village are not in accordance with the theory, namely planting distance, maintenance, fertilization and pepticide. 3) The total cost allocated is Rp. 39,006,878, and the production produced is 2,162 kg/pp. The average price per production period is Rp. 1600, the average gross income is Rp. 83,034,947/year, the average net income is Rp. 44,028,070/year. An average RCR efficiency of 2.32 indicates that oil palm is breaking even.
