Analisis Kebutuhan Ruang Terbuka Hijau Berdasarkan Pemenuhan Kebutuhan Oksigen Di Kecamatan Marpoyan Damai Kota Pekanbaru

Demonisis Ademika - Personal Name;

Green Open Space is a very important oxygen producer for various activities of urban life. The oxygen produced will be consumed by humans and used in the combustion process of motorized vehicles, so that oxygen demand can be used in the approach to calculating the need for green open spaces in urban areas. The aim of this research isto calculate the need for green space based on the approach to meeting oxygen needs in Marpoyan Damai District, Pekanbaru City. This research uses quantitative methods. Analysis of oxygen demand is based on the needs of humans and motorized vehicles. Human oxygen demand is calculated by multiplying the population in the study area by the standard oxygen demand per person of 0,035 kg/day. Meanwhile, the oxygen demand for motorized vehicles is calculated based on the number of vehicles (cars and motorcycles) multiplied by the standard oxygen demand (11,634 kg/day for cars and 0,5817 kg/day for motorcycles). The oxygen production capability of the existing green open space is estimated based on the density class. Density class is classified by the NDVI method which is then calculated, the ability to provide oxygen for existing green open space is calculated based on per class standards. In calculating oxygen production, only calculate oxygen production with high density class and medium density class. Then compare the availability of oxygen sourced from the existing green open space with the oxygen demand based on the oxygen demand of the population and the oxygen demand of motorized vehicles. The results showed that the oxygen demand of the population and the oxygen demand of motorized vehicles was 200,362.89 kg/hour. While the amount of oxygen production in Marpoyan Damai District is 104,345.21 kg/hour/Ha which is calculated based on the existing green open space identified by the results of 434.77 ha. The result of calculating the need for green open space in Marpoyan Damai District based on the calculation of oxygen demand shows that there is a need for green open space covering an area of 834.85 ha, which is greater than the existing green open space area, so an additional green open space area of 400.07 ha is needed to meet the oxygen demand in the area.
