This research was conducted to find out (1) Market management strategy management by the Industry and Trade UKM Cooperative Department in Sorek Satu market, (2) inhibiting factors in the management of traditional market management strategies by the Department of Cooperatives, SMEs, Industry and Trade. The method used in this research is descriptive research. Data collection was done by interview, observation, and documentation. Based on the phenomena found in the field regarding market conditions that are felt to need more attention, because there are many things that have not been optimally managed, ranging from customer order, the need to repair buildings, to abuse of authority by officers who are on site. Data analysis in this study uses three components consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that (1) the relevant agencies have two main objectives as an outline, namely improving the quality of the market in terms of infrastructure, be it buildings, kiosks, parking lots, smooth drainage, other supporting aspects in supporting trade activities that occur. in the traditional market. The second goal of the Department of Cooperatives, SMEs, Industry and Trade, Pelalawan Regency is to improve product quality and the quality of traders, in order to create high competitiveness and encourage consumers to come to buy, because the products they have are not inferior to products in other regions. (2) the inhibiting factors found are the implementation of the duties of each holder of market management authority which is still not maximized, the role of the community in cooperation to improve market quality is lacking, and the supervision of related parties has not been maximized.
