LAN (Local Area Network) is a privately owned network in a building or campus measuring up to several kilometers. LAN is often used to connect personal computers and workstations in a company's office to facilitate communication and sharing of data in the local area. Because of the importance of a computer network in data communication in an area, it is necessary to detect damage and fast solutions. In order for the detection of disturbances on this LAN to take place properly, it is necessary to have a system that stores knowledge from experts so that appropriate actions can be taken by personnel. who are experts in that field. Artificial Intelligence is one of the fields in computer science that is aimed at making software and hardware that can function as something that can think like humans. An expert system as one of the fields of artificial intelligence engineering is a computer system designed to be able to reason like an expert in a particular field of expertise. To determine the diagnosis based on symptoms on LAN and computers, in this study the Bayes theorem method is used. The implementation of the expert system uses the PHP and MySQL programming languages.
