Penerapan Teknologi Augmented Reality Sebagai Media Promosi Makanan Khas Provinsi Riau

Augmented reality is currently a rapidly growing technology in society. Augmented reality is a technology that combines 2D and 3D virtual objects into the real world. Augmented reality is currently very widely used in various fields, for example as a media promotion and media introduction. The application of this augmented reality concept can display a more interesting 3D virtual object recognition. In this augmented reality technology, it can be applied in a promotional media system typical of Riau Province to introduce the typical food of Riau Province, where nowadays traditional food is almost forgotten by modern society. This promotional media application was created using the ARCore SDK library and using the markerless method. This promotional media application is designed using Unity 3D software and is run through an android smartphone. Based on the test results at a distance of 15cm to 120cm 3D animation can be displayed, 3D animation can be displayed with light intensity above 0 lux, and can be displayed on plain white paper tracking objects, textured objects, uneven objects. Based on the results of user testing, it was obtained a percentage of 91.8% with a total of 38 respondents, so this application can be implemented as a promotion medium for Riau Province specialties.
