The existence of slum settlements will have a major impact on the condition and development of an urban area including the deterioration of the quality of the environment, economy, socio-culture and government as well as an increase in crime and disease. The impact of the existence of these slums will also of course be very closely related to urban development in the future. One of the villages in Kampar Regency with a moderate level of slums is Langgini Village based on the Decree of the Kampar Regent Number 663-664/XI/2020. The purpose of this study was to determine the Factors Causing Slums in Residential Areas in The Langgini Village, Bangkinang Kota District, Kampar Regency. This study uses a mixed method, namely descriptive qualitative analysis and quantitative descriptive analysis to determine the Factors Causing Slums in Residential Areas in The Langgini Village, Bangkinang Kota District. The sampling technique in this study was simple random sampling with the slovin formula in order to obtain as many as 200 respondents. The results of the study are seen from the existing conditions with a building density of 23 Units/Ha which is classified as low and 103 units according to technical requirements, 85 % of damaged roads, 79.25% of drinking water supply that does not meet technical requirements, and damaged drainage conditions. by 70%, the condition of MCK facilities and infrastructure that do not meet the technical requirements of 22%, the condition of solid waste as much as 90.37% does not comply with the requirements and the coverage of fire protection services is 65%. The results of the study were seen from Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) based on the loading factor table, location was the most dominant factor influencing slums in Langgini village with a loading factor value of 0.890 > 0.050, then the condition of facilities and infrastructure with a loading factor value of 0.883 > 0.050, conditions building with a loading factor value of 0.840 > 0.050, socio-economic conditions with a loading factor value of 0.762 > 0.050 and the last population condition with a loading factor value of 0.737 > 0.050.
