The development of housing in the Pangkalan Kerinci urban area is an effort to meet the demand for a dwelling which is influenced by the increasing number of population density and the economic growth of the community in the Pangkalan Kerinci Urban Area, Pelalawan Regency. In 2010-2020 the population growth rate of the Pangkalan Kerinci Urban Area is 24.19%. With an average annual population growth of 2.41% above the national population growth of 1.31%. It has a population density of 831 people/km2 in 2020. The Pangkalan Kerinci urban area has a residential area of 5,814 hectares. This study aims to determine the spatial pattern of housing development in the Pangkalan Kerinci urban settlement area, Pelalawan Regency. Analyzing the spatial pattern of housing development in the Pangkalan Kerinci urban settlement area in 2010-2020. The research uses a rationalistic approach with qualitative descriptive research methods. Data collection techniques through primary surveys and secondary surveys. The results of the analysis show that population and economic growth affect changes in spatial patterns. Population growth in the 2010-2015 interval was 10.49 percent with housing development of 7.9 percent and the 2015-2020 interval of 12.4 percent housing development of 18.64 percent. Economic growth in the 2015-2020 interval of 25.11 percent affects housing development by 7.9 percent and the 2015-2020 interval of 17.92 percent affects housing development by 18.64 percent, the distribution index value (R) in five Kelurahan in Pangkalan Kerinci Urban Area, namely Pangkalan Kerinci City Village with a distribution index value of 0.01, Pangkalan Kerinci Barat Village with a distribution index value of 0.02, Pangkalan Kerinci Timur Village with a distribution index value of 0.01, a distribution index value of 0.01, and a distribution index value of 0.01. Mekar Jaya distribution index value is 0.13. So the distribution of housing in the Pangkalan Kerinci urban area has a cluster pattern.
