This study aims to analyze the role of the Indonesian Waqf Board in Riau Province in the Management of Waqf Assets Based on Law Number 41 of 2004 concerning Waqf in Pekanbaru City. Develop waqf property in accordance with its purpose, function and designation, such as dismissing and replacing nazhir, providing advice and consideration to the government in formulating policies in the field of waqf, including giving approval or permission for changes in the designation and status of waqf property. As for the background, the author is interested in making this thesis because the implementation of waqf that occurs in Indonesia is still mostly carried out religiously or based on mutual trust, this condition ultimately makes the land donated has no legal basis, so that in the future if there are problems regarding land ownership waqf settlement will encounter difficulties, especially in terms of proof. This research uses qualitative methods with a field research approach, which is a study that examines objects in the field to obtain clear and concrete data and descriptions of matters related to the problems studied. In accordance with this type of research, data collection techniques were also carried out by means of questionnaires, interviews, and documentation studies. In this study, qualitative data was reviewed and analyzed based on applicable regulations. The results of this study show how the role of the Indonesian Waqf Board in Riau Province in the Management of Waqf Assets according to Law Number 41 of 2004. This can be seen from how the Indonesian waqf body carries out its role based on Article 49 Paragraph 1 of Law Number 41 of 2004. This is also due to a lack of understanding of the applicable laws and regulations and is shown by the occurrence of several factors that affect the management of waqf assets in Pekanbaru City, Riau Province.
