Usahatani dan Faktor-faktor Produksi Ikan Baung dalam Kerambah Jaring Apung (KJA) di Kecamatan Pangkalan Kerinci Kabupaten Pelalawan

The business of growing baung fish is a profitable business and has the potential to be developed in Pangkalan Kerinci District because of the river's potential as a supporting factor for land production. This study aims to analyze: 1) Characteristics of farmers and farming profiles of baung fish, 2) Cultivation technology of baung fish, 3) Cost of production, revenue, net income and farming efficiency, 4) Factors that influence the production of baung fish, 5) Response rate production factors for baung fish in floating net cages (KJA) in Pangkalan Kerinci District. This research was conducted for 6 months starting from March to August 2022 located in Pangkalan Kerinci District, Pelalawan Regency. Because this sub-district has natural potential, namely the river as a baung fish farming area. The sampling technique usessimple random samplingas many as 50 farmers. The data used are primary data and secondary data. The results showed that: (1) The average age of farmers is 46 years which means they are of productive age, the average length of education is 9 years (junior high school), the average experience in farming is 10 years and the average number of family dependents is 4 people. While the business profile obtained an average cage volume of 104 m3, the average start-up capital of Rp. 79,213,690, the average baung fish production is 1,275 kg / production process, including in micro businesses and farmers who do not have business licenses. (2) The technology for the cultivation of baung fish applied by farmers is not in accordance with theoretical recommendations, where the preparation of floating net cages, feeding, maintenance and care are not in accordance with theoretical recommendations. (3) Production costs of Rp. 50,928,517/Production process, revenue of Rp. 70,125,000 / production process, net income of Rp. 19,196,483/Production process, obtained RCR (Revenue Cost Ratio) of 1.42 means that baung fish farming in Pangkalan Kerinci District is feasible. (4) Production factors that have a significant (significant) effect on the production of baung fish are the volume of cages, seeds, feed and labor. (5) The yield scale of the baung fish is classified as deepIncreasing Return to Scale.
