Media Pembelajaran Virus pada Pelajaran Biologi Sekolah Menegah atas Negeri 3 Tualang Menggunakan Augmented Reality(AR)
Viruses are one of the materials taught to high school students in class X to be precise in the odd semester. Many students have difficulty remembering and understanding virus material taught at school, so learning virus material concepts such as virus characteristics, virus body structure, how to replicate viruses, and examples of viruses and their handling becomes less effectively absorbed by students. Using technological developments as a learning tool will be able to influence the learning process, especially teaching and learning. There needs to be an application that can simplify and increase students' interest in understanding biology learning, namely an Augmented Reality (AR) based application that uses a markerless technique that uses the ARCore SDK library. The convenience of using the markerless technique is that the resulting 3D object does not require a marker to find the scan point. By designing as many as 27 3D objects, it can be used as a reference for achieving the goals of learning virus biology material at SMAN 3 Tualang. Based on object testing at a minimum light intensity of 5 lux, 3D objects can appear well outdoors or indoors, with a minimum distance of 5 cm.
