Peranan Laboratorium Forensik Pada Proses Penyidikan Kejahatan Narkotika (Studi Kasus Laboratorium Forensik Polda Riau)

Narcotics crime is one of the most cases handled by the riau police forensic laboratory. this narcotic crime is a complicated crime because it requires a series of laboratory tests. in this case, the forensic laboratory examines the types of narcotics used because of the many types of narcotics. based on this, this research will reveal the role of the forensic laboratory in the narcotics crime investigation process (case study of the riau regional police forensic laboratory). This study uses a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. To obtain the necessary data, the authors collect data through interviews, observation and documentation. After the data is collected, then a qualitative analvsis is carried out. Based on the results of the study it was concluded that narcotics crime is a complex crime so that the role of the forensic laboratory is needed to provide physical evidence and scientific analvsis. Chemical analyzes performed by forensic laboratories help uncover crimes, support investigations and investigations, and provide strong scientific evidence in court. Through the application of criminal chemistry theory in the analysis of narcotics in the forensic laboratory, the evidence obtained becomes stronger and more credible. This supports efforts to investigate narcotics crimes, assists courts in deciding cases, and provides justice to the community.
