Penerapan Teknologi Wireless Sensor Network untuk Monitoring Cuaca Dengan Menggunakanmodul Lora SX1278 di Pekanbaru

Weather is very important for humans, because humans are creatures that socialize and often travel, the weather determines whether human activities are carried out or not. Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) technology or wireless sensor networks have begun to be developed, the advantage of using WSN is the need for relatively inexpensive equipment but can provide information from the environment with low power consumption. Weather monitoring tools that exist today have been widely circulated and used for everyday human life, but some of them still do not use WSN technology, more using internet of things technology that requires internet in data retrieval. WSN technology is applied to existing monitoring tools that use IoT technology, the tool is built using NodeMCU 8266 as a microcontroller that is connected to blynk as a data visualization application in graphical form. This tool is also designed with DHT 11 sensor, rainfall sensor, wind speed sensor and rain direction sensor, LoRa SX1278 module is added to this tool. Gateaway as a data receiver is also added with the same module. Tool testing is done by testing the range of LoRa SX1278 signal capture using packet loss calculations. At a distance of 0.01 km, 0.4 km and 0.5 km effective in data reception, the gateway can receive good data from 80% of packets sent with packet loss smaller than 21%. However, for distances greater than 1.5 km packet loss can reach numbers greater than 75%.
