Perencanaan Lumpur Pemboran Berdasarkan Karakteristik Batuan dan Kondisi Formasi Sumur
Drilling mud (drilling fluid) is a fluid that is used in the process of drilling activities and has many functions including lifting and holding cuttings, resisting formation pressure and others, so planning drilling mud needs calculations and preparation. The role of formation rock conditions greatly affects drilling mud preparation activities, so this is an obstacle that must be analyzed and known is the influence of the nature, type and condition of formation rock associated with the appropriate preparation of drilling mud. This study aims to prepare drilling mud to be used for drilling operations at the location by considering the characteristics of the formation rock layers and to determine and know the optimum value of the mud properties for use in drilling operations. This method was carried out in laboratory tests by carrying out several mud sample tests using 5-7% KCL PHPA with different concentrations on each route. On the 12-1/4” route with a ratio of 25.6 ppb, the mud rheology is as follows, mud weight (MW) 9.0 – 9.5 ppg, PH 8.5 – 9.5, viscosity 40 – 60 cps, fluid loss 34,000 ppm, MBT (Methylene Blue Test)
