Analisis Usahatani Dan Pemasaran Karet Rakyat Di Desa Gumanti Kecamatan Peranap Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu Provinsi Riau

Rubber is a plantation crop that has become popular in Indonesia. Rubber has become very close to farmers because it is easy in cultivation and processing techniques and provides direct economic value for farmers. This study aims to determine and analyze: 1). Characteristics of rubber farmers in Gumanti Village, Peranap District, Indragiri Hulu Regency. 2) Technical cultivation and use of rubber farming inputs. 3) Production costs, production, income and efficiency of smallholder rubber farming. 4) Marketing (institution, channel, function, cost, profit, marketing margin, marketing efficiency and farmer's share) of smallholder rubber. This research was conducted using a survey method. The data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively, the number of samples of rubber farmers in this study was 30 people. The results showed that 1) the average age of the rubber farmers was 52 years, the farmer's education period was 9 years, the experience of farming was 24 years and the number of dependents of the family was 3 people. 2) Rubber cultivation techniques include the use of seed types (using local rubber seeds), spacing (3 x 6 m, 3 x 5 m, and 4 x 4m), population (average ranges from 550 – 650 stems in 1 ha), fertilization (using urea, TSP, and KCl), weeding (using herbicides and using a machete), and tapping age (rubber tapping is done at the age of 6-7 years). The use of rubber production inputs has an average land area of ??1.68 Ha, the use of labor in the family. The use of the amount of fertilizer given per hectare is 128.89 kg/year Urea; TSP 76.55 kg/year; KCl 34.22 kg/year. The amount of herbicide given is about 0.65 liters/ha/year. The amount of vinegar given is 18.05 liters/year. The agricultural tools used are machetes, sharpening stones, tapping knives, buckets, and shells/containers. 3) The average cost of farming rubber used is Rp. 5,318,533/ha/year. The average production produced is 2,088.27 kg/ha/year. Total gross income is Rp.20,742,267/ha/year, net income is Rp.15,423,734/ha/year. Farming efficiency obtained is an average of 3.90%. 4) Marketing agencies involve collectors and wholesalers. Have one marketing channel. The marketing functions carried out include: buying, selling, storing, transporting, risk-taking, financing, and market information. Marketing costs on the channel are IDR 900/Kg. The margin on the channel is Rp. 4,000/kg. The marketing profit obtained by the collectors is Rp. 1,380/Kg while the profit earned by wholesalers is Rp. 1,720/Kg. Farmer's share on the channel is 70.9%. Marketing channels can be said to be efficient with an efficiency value of 6.55%.
