The Effect Of Animation Movie On Students Listening Comprehension At The Seventh Grade Student Of Smp Ylpi P Marpoyan
The formulation of this research was is there any significance effect of using Animation Movie on students’ listening comprehension at the seventh grade student of SMP YLPI P Marpoyan. Based on the formula, the purpose of this research was to determine the comprehension of students listen description text in experimental class before and after using Animation Movie. The independent variable of this research was animation movie and the dependent variable was students listening comprehension. The design of this research was quasi experimental by using pre-test and post-test. Population of this research is the whole students at SMP YLPI P Marpoyan. The number of sample is involved 37 students and selected by using cluster random sampling technique. And then analyzed the data by using independent sample T-test calculated by SPSS 25 version. The result of this study was indicating a significant difference between the score of Pre-test and Post-test. The post-test mean score of the experimental class (75.56) was higher than the post-test mean score of the control class (62.11). From the result of statistical calculations program, the researcher found the ttable > t-calculate (2.030>-3.757). The mean score of the students also showed that there was significant after applying animation movie. Furthermore, there was a significant difference in the achievement between experimental class than the control class. So that, the researcher summarized than animation movie made the students listening comprehension more coherent and well organized. Moreover, there were some difficulties in teaching listening at SMP YLPI P Marpoyan can be overcome by using Animation Movie in the teaching and learning process.
