Peningkatan Keterampilan Shooting Bola Basket Melalui Metode Pembelajaran Cooperative Learning Tipe Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) pada Siswa Smp Negeri 35 Pekanbaru

The aim of this research is to find out what basketball shooting skills are like using the cooperative leaming method, teams games toumaments (TGT) type of students at SMP Negeri 35 Pekanbaru. This research is classroom action research, namely research carried out in class with the aim of improving basketball shooting skills through cooperative leaming methods such as teams games toumaments (TGT). The population in this study was the entire class VIII1 students of SMPN 35 Pekanbaru, totaling 34 people. The samples taken from this research were students of class VIII1 SMPN 35 Pekanbaru, namely 19 men and 15 women. Data was collected using a rubric for assessing basic basketball shooting techniques. Based on the analysis and discussion, it can be concluded from the research results that there was an increase in basketball shooting through the teams games toumaments (TGT) method in class VIII.1 students at SMPN 35 Pekanbaru during the first cycle, they had not yet reached a classical completion score of 80%, only reaching a percentage score of 6 % with the number of students who completed 2 students and with an average score of 49.5. Meanwhile, cycle II showed that the students' ability to perform basketball shooting movements was very good with a classical completion score of 100% with the number of students who completed it being 34 students and with an average score of 93.3.
