The Effect of HelloTalk Application Towards Students’ Vocabulary Mastery of The Eighth Grade Students At SMPN 35 Pekanbaru. Keywords: Hello Talk Application, Vocabulary The focus of the research is to determine the significant effect of HelloTalk application towards students' vocabulary. The HelloTalk application is an English learning application or website that teaching English vocabulary and will assist students in improving spelling, vocabulary, speaking, and word understanding. The research was experimental. The research sample consisted of two groups: experimental and control. This study's population consisted of eight-grade students at SMPN 35 Pekanbaru during the academic years 2023/2024. The sample of this research was used purposive sampling. The test consisted of multiple-choice questions. The research instrument is vocabulary test. It includes 25 items for the pre-test and post-test. The data were analyzed by using the paired sample t-test from SPSS version 26. The research findings revealed a difference in results between the pre-test and post-test, with mean scores of 62.17 and 76.68. It signifies that the students' vocabulary has increased as a result of their treatment with the HelloTalk application. tcount had a higher score compared to ttable (4.937 > 1.320). It signifies that the null hypothesis was rejected while the alternative hypothesis was accepted. As a result, the eight-grade students' vocabulary improved significantly after being taught using the HelloTalk application at SMPN 35 Pekanbaru.
