Kontribusi Pendapatan Usahatani Padi Sawah terhadap Pendapatan Rumah Tangga di Desa Sihepeng Kecamatan Siabu Kabupaten Mendailing Natal Provinsi Sumatra Utara

Rice is a food crop that is consumed by almost all people every day as a staple food, so the need for rice is very high. The rice commodity has bright prospects to increase farmers' income. This can provide its own motivation for farmers to develop and increase their productivity in the hope that at harvest time they can get high sales results to meet their needs. This study aims to analyze: (1) The characteristics and profile of the business of wet-rice farmers, (2) Production costs, production, income and efficiency of wet-rice farming, (3) Contribution of wet-rice farming income to household income. The method used in this research is survey method. Respondents were taken using simple random sampling technique which is 30 samples. This research was conducted in Sihepeng Village, Siabu District, Mandailing Natal Regency, North Sumatra Province from January to June 2023. Data analysis was carried out with qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed: (1) The characteristics of wet-rice farmers in Sihepeng Village are the average age of farmers 36-45 years, the average length of education 9 years, the average number of family dependents 6 people and the average farming experience 10 years. Meanwhile, the average business profile has a land area of 2,505 m2 and has a harvest age of 110-120 days, (2) Production costs of paddy rice farming in Sihepeng Village averaged Rp 1,686,943/Garapan/MT (3) Production of paddy rice farming averaged 1,237 Kg/Garapan/MT (4) The average receipt of paddy rice farming was Rp 5,319,100/Garapan/MT, and the average income of paddy rice farming was Rp. 3. 632,157/Garapan/MT (5) The efficiency value of paddy rice farming is 3.15 (6) The average income of paddy rice farmers is Rp 908,039 the average household income of farmers is Rp 2,441,373 (7) Paddy rice farming income contributes 37.19% to household income.
