Tinjauan Kriminologis terhadap Pemakai Narkotika oleh Anak Remaja di Wilayah Hukum Polres Bintan

Indonesia is one of the regions where drug abuse is relatively high. The abuse of narcotics and illicit substances is a transnational crime, considering that drug abuse also includes trafficking and production activities. Transnational crime is a form of organized and premeditated crime. According to Article 1 number 15 of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, drug addicts are people who use drugs illegally or in violation of the law. The main problem in this study is what are the factors causing the operandi of drug users by adolescents in the jurisdiction of the Bintan police station and what is the modus operandi of drug users by adolescents in the jurisdiction of the Bintan police station and how are the efforts to overcome the operandi of drug users by adolescents in the jurisdiction of the Bintan police station. This type of research is included in the category of observational research, where researchers go directly into the field and make observations using data collection tools in the form of interviews. By its very nature, this study is now an analytical descriptive study. This study aims to provide a more concrete picture of the main problem of this research. Based on the results of the study, the factors that influence the operandi of drug users by adolescents in the jurisdiction of the Bintan police station are economic factors, promiscuity factors, family factors and low education level factors. The modus operandi of drug abuse crimes is lack of education, unemployment, and inadequate skills, these are those involved in criminal activities. Efforts to overcome drug abuse crime include providing legal understanding to the community and schools at the primary and secondary levels about the dangers of drug abuse and circulation. No one wants to repeat the same thing because they realize that their actions harm society and violate the law.
