The aim of this research is to determine the significant improvement in students' speaking skills before and after the learning process using Problem-Based Learning (PBL). This research is a pre-experimental research. The sample of this research is the 10th grade AT 2 students of SMK Negeri 1 Seberida. In this research, the instrument is a speaking test. The research findings showed that there is a difference in students’ speaking skills before and after being taught by using Problem-Based Learning (PBL) through group discussion. It can be see from the average of pre-test is 37,48 and post-test is 53,63. The researcher used t-test using SPSS version 29 to testing the hypothesis. The result showed that t-test (t0) < t-table (tt) (0,001< 2,056). It means that the alternative hypothesis is accepted that there is a significant improvement on students’ speaking skills after using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL).
