The problem of children as victims of domestic violence in Indonesia is an urgent and widespread problem. As referred to in Law No. 24 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of domestic violence, it is said that "everyone is prohibited from committing domestic violence, especially people within the scope of their household". In fact, cases of domestic violence involving children as victims are still very common and often not resolved properly. Because of this, the author is interested in conducting a thesis research entitled: Legal Protection of Children as Victims of Domestic Violence by UPT Protection of Women and Children in Pekanbaru City. The type of research that the author conducts is included in the type of empirical or sociological legal research, which is a legal research method that serves to see the law in a real sense and examine how the law works in the community. Meanwhile, judging from the nature of the research, it is descriptive analysis which is an illustration of the implementation of the case resolution mechanism. Normatively, legal protection of children as victims of domestic violence has been regulated in laws and regulations so that there are no more obstacles in the implementation of child protection. The regulation of criminal sanctions for people who take care of children is regulated in Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection. Everyone is prohibited from abusing children.
