Problematika Tika Pengawas dalam Meningkatkan Profesionalisme Guru MTs Teluk dalam Kabupaten Pelalawan
The background of this research was the issue of the role of supervisors in enhancing the professionalism of teachers in Islamic Junior High School Teluk Dalam at Pelalawan Regency. This was evident from symptoms such as supervisors not understanding their duties and responsibilities, rarely participating in training, and the limited facilities for carrying out their tasks. The purpose of this research was to observe the role of supervisors in enhancing the professionalism of teachers in Islamic Junior High School Teluk Dalam at Pelalawan Regency. This research was conducted at Islamic Junior High School Teluk Dalam. The type of research was descriptive qualitative. The data collection techniques used in this research were interviews and documentation, while the data processing and analysis techniques included data reduction. The results of this research indicated that to enhance the professionalism of teachers, supervisors needed to play an active role and develop supervision programs, carry out coaching, monitor the implementation of the eight national education standards, assess guidance and professional teacher training, evaluate the results of supervision program implementation, and perform supervision tasks in special areas. Therefore, it was hoped that teachers and supervisors could improve their respective performance and roles as best as possible, and that Islamic Junior High School Teluk Dalam teachers in Pelalawan Regency would continuously enhance their teaching abilities to improve teacher professionalism. Furthermore, it was hoped that this research could serve as a reference for other researchers studying teacher professionalism.
