Analisis Kelayakan Pinansial Usaha Ternak Sapi Potong di Kecamatan Pangkalan Kerinci Kabupaten Pelalawan Provinsi Riau

Beef cattle are a commodity in the livestock subsector with great potential. This can be seen from the high demand for beef. Pangkalan Kerinci District is one of the sub-districts in Pelalawan Regency which has the potential to cultivate beef cattle. This research aims to analyze: 1) Farmer Characteristics and Beef Cattle Business Profile, 2) Beef Cattle Business Analysis, and 3) Financial Feasibility of Beef Cattle Business. The method used is the survey method. The data analyzed was processed using descriptive statistical analysis and qualitative and quantitative analysis. This research was conducted in Pangkalan Kerinci District, Pelalawan Regency, namely in two villages, in Makmur Village and in Mekar Jaya Village from August 2022 to January 2023. The results of the research were the characteristics of productive age beef cattle breeders with ages 56-61 years, high school education, The average number of family members is 5 people, and livestock business experience is 8 years. The breeder profile includes: the average number of breeder cattle is 8 heads, the cage area is 627 m2, the capital amount is IDR. 72,692,308, source of loan model, number of workers 2 people. For livestock business analysis, it includes production costs, income and business efficiency. Average production is 666 Kg/year, gross income Rp. 38,636,923/year, net income Rp. 6.760.316/year and efficiency of 1.3. The calculation results from the financial feasibility analysis, the Net Present Value value is IDR 206.997.864, the Internal Rate of Return value is 38% > from the applicable interest rate of 9.11%, the Net Benefit Cost Ratio value is 4,72> 1, Payback investment return time Period 5 years 1 day. From the analysis that has been carried out, the beef cattle business in Pangkalan Kerinci District, Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province is feasible to develop/run.
