People in everyday life cannot be separated from carrying out legal acts, one of which is by implementing a contract or agreement that can be accounted for by all parties and one example is a lease agreement. An agreement is an agreement reached by two or more parties. The implementation of a car lease agreement at CV.Nadhif Equator Pekanbaru in 2022 there are still defaults made by tenants or violations of previously agreed agreements. The main problems are 1). How is the settlement of defaults by tenants in a car rental agreement (rent car) at CV Nadhif Equator Pekanbaru. 2). What are the obstacle factors / obstacles in resolving defaults on car rental agreements (rent cars) at CV.Nadhif Equator Pekanbaru. ?The type of research is Sociological research, namely by way of survey or the author reviews directly to the research location with data collection tools in the form of interviews. Its nature is descriptive analytical, meaning that the research provides a clear, detailed and systematic description based on reality in accordance with the main research problems. Based on the results of this study, it shows that the settlement of defaults by tenants in a car lease agreement at CV.Nadhif Equator Pekanbaru uses more non-litigation settlements or settlements outside the court, namely using negotiation channels. Where the negotiation path prioritizes a sense of kinship deliberation between the two parties in trouble. The obstacles in resolving defaults by tenants in car lease agreements at CV.Nadhif Equator Pekanbaru are that there is no good faith from the tenant, tenants who delay payment, warranty claims take a long time.
