Sistem Agribisnis Ubi Kayu (Manihot Esculenta) di Kecamatan Kulim Kota Pekanbaru Provinsi Riau

There are many agricultural and plantation sectors that can be developed in Indonesia, especially in Riau Province, precisely in the Kulim sub-district of Pekanbaru city, one of the agricultural sectors that has the potential to be developed is the cassava plant. This study aims to analyze (1) Characteristics of Farmers and agro-industry entrepreneurs and the profile of cassava farming, (2) Subsystem of supplying cassava production facilities, (3) Subsystem of cassava farming, (4) Agro-industry subsystem, and (5) Marketing subsystem in Kulim District, Pekanbaru City. The research method used is the survey method. The place of this research is in Kulim District, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. This research was conducted from January 2023 to December 2023. Respondents in the study consisted of cassava farmers, agro-industry entrepreneurs, and retail traders using the multi-stage sampling method. The results of this study indicate (1) The average age of farmers is 43,53 years, the average level of education of farmers is 6.8 years, the average experience of farming for 16,87 years, the average number of family dependents is 4 people, the average land area is 1,07 ha, the varieties planted are butter variestas, the source of capital from themselves, labor comes from inside and outside the family. (2) The provision of production facilities on seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides is still not 100% correct but on the place and agricultural equipment is 100% correct. (3) The average use of seeds was 315 kg/ha/MT, NPK fertilizer 131,50 kg/ha/MT, TSP 101,33 kg/ha/MT, KCL 116,17 kg/ha/MT, roundap pesticide 42,27 L/ha/MT. TKDK 6,20 HKP/ha/MT and TKLK 3,85 HKP/ha/MT. Average cassava production of 32.000 kg/ha/MT, farm production costs of Rp.10.031.691,68 ha/MT, gross income of Rp.80.000.000 ha/MT, net income of Rp.69.866.727,76 ha/MT and efficiency (RCR) of 7.89. (4) The price of cassava raw materials is Rp.2,500 / kg, the production produced in one production process of cassava into chips is 600 kg / production, the added value obtained is Rp.4,042.34 / kg. (5) There are 2 marketing channels, namely channel I farmers sell to entrepreneurs and then sell directly to end consumers Channel II farmers sell to entrepreneurs and then to retailers and then to end consumers. With a total margin of Rp17,500/kg. Channel II is more efficient at 18,09. And the farmer's share of channel I is more efficient at 15,63.
