Kajian Pengeluaran Rumah Tangga di Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir Provinsi Riau

Income affects the pattern of household expenditure, the size of income allocated to food and non-food expenditure will affect the level of community welfare. This study aims to analyse: (1) The development of household consumption expenditure in 2000-2022 in Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau Province, (2) Food and non-food household expenditure in 2000-2022 in Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau Province, (3) Factors affecting household expenditure in Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau Province. This research uses a literature study, namely examining data from related agencies. The type of data used in this research is secondary data. Data analysis used in this research is descriptive statistical analysis to answer the development of consumption expenditure and food and non-food expenditure in Indragiri Hilir Regency. While the factors that influence household expenditure are analysed using multiple linear regression and the impact of influencing changes is calculated using elasticity, the data used is time series data from 2000-2023. Research results: (1) The development of household consumption expenditure of Indragiri Hilir Regency in 2000-2022 increased every year with an average household consumption expenditure of Rp. 712,895.83 and a growth of 7.08%. (2) Average food expenditure of Rp. 409,382 and a growth of 6.64%, based on the details of the highest food group, namely food and processed drinks with an average of 23.98% and average non-food expenditure of Rp. 303,514 and a growth of 7.88%, based on the details of the highest non-food group, namely housing and household facilities with an average of 54.38%. (3) Factors affecting household expenditure in Indragiri Hilir Regency are GRDP, population, education, savings, and inflation with the results of multiple linear regression analysis, namely all independent variables partially and simultaneously have a significant effect on household expenditure, except for the savings and inflation variables, the partial test results do not have a significant effect on household expenditure in Indragiri Hilir Regency.
