Pengaruh Serbuk Cangkang Telur Ayam dan Pupuk KNO3 terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Produksi Tanaman Cabe Merah (Capsium Annaum l)

This research aims to determine the main and interaction effects of chicken egg shell powder and KNO3 fertilizer on the growth and yield of chili (Capsicum annuum L.). The research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru. This research lasted for 5 months starting from June to October 2023. This research used a Completely Randomized Factorial Design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors, namely the first factor was chicken egg shell powder consisting of 4 levels, namely 0, 120, 240 and 360 g / plot and the second factor is KNO3 fertilizer consisting of 4 levels, namely 0, 3, 6 and 9 g/l. The parameters observed were plant height, flowering age, stem diameter, harvest age, number of fruit per plant, fruit weight per plant, length of chili fruit, number of remaining fruit, and root volume. The observation data was analyzed statistically and carried out with the Honestly Significant Difference Test (HSD) at 5% level. The results showed that the interaction between chicken eggshell powder and KNO3 fertilizer was significant for all parameters, except on plant height, age of harvest and number of fruit per plant. The best treatment is a combination of 360 g/lot chicken egg shell powder and 9 g/l KNO3 fertilizer. The main effect of chicken eggshell powder and KNO3 fertilizer had a real influence on all observed parameters, with the best treatment being chicken eggshell powder at a dose of 360 g/plot and KNO3 fertilizer at a dose of 9 g/l.
