The existence of laws regarding children certainly shows that children really need to be protected. Indonesia as a legal state regulates children in a number of statutory regulations, some of which are Law Number 4 of 1979 concerning Child Welfare, Law Number 11 of 2012 concerning the Child Criminal Justice System, and Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Protection. Child. A child who accidentally makes a mistake that causes another person to be injured or even die is a criminal offence. The main problem in this research is how to carry out law enforcement against children involved in violating traffic rules at the Siak Police Traffic Unit and what are the obstacles to implementing law enforcement against children involved in violating traffic rules at the Siak Police Traffic Unit. This type of research is empirical legal research using observational or field research by means of direct surveys in the field. The type of data used in this research comes from primary and secondary data. Primary data was obtained through interviews with the Head of the Siak Police Traffic Unit, as well as the Head of the Siak Police Traffic Traffic Unit. Meanwhile, secondary data was obtained from the results of library research. The nature of this research is analytical descriptive which provides an overview of a research object through the data that has been collected. Based on the research results, it can be understood that law enforcement towards children has gone well, but has not been optimal because children have not been cooperative in providing explanations about traffic accidents. Meanwhile, one of the obstacles in implementing law enforcement against children involved in violating traffic rules at the Siak Police Traffic Unit is that there are still many children who do not want to be asked for information regarding the accident cases they have experienced.
