Upaya Guru Mata Pelajaran Al-Quran Hadis dalam Meningkatkan Keterampilan Menulis Huruf Al-Quran Peserta Didik di MTs Nurul Islam Bukit Kemuning Tapung Hulu
Writing skills were very important for students to possess because these skills were one of the ways to express ideas, opinions, and feelings to others through writing. Darmiyati Zuhdi (1999:159) explained that writing skills were the ability to convey thoughts, ideas, opinions about something, responses to a statement, desires, or expressions of feelings using written language. This issue was formulated as follows: How did Quran and Hadith teachers strive to improve students’ Quran writing skills at Islamic Junior High School Nurul Islam Bukit Kemuning, Tapung Hulu District? Based on the type of research, this study was qualitative. Based on the research and interviews, it was concluded that the Imla' method of learning was less effective in enhancing students' abilities, especially in writing Quranic verses and Hadith, because they were less interested in paying attention and following the lessons. To encourage students' learning abilities, teachers often gave rewards to those who achieved the best scores and punishments to those who received the worst scores. The obstacles in implementing the Imla' learning method were the lack of student interest in learning using the Imla' method and their lack of focus in listening to what the teacher conveyed without examples. However, teachers at Islamic Junior High School Nurul Islam Bukit Kemuning used the Imla' method by simultaneously explaining and providing examples on the blackboard. Teachers even wrote the Latin letters first before asking the students to convert them into Arabic script.
