Improving the performance of agricultural extension workers will determine future agricultural development which is basically to increase the income of the agricultural sector. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of the performance of agricultural extension workers in Pinggir District, Bengkalis Regency. The main problem in this study is to analyze the performance of agricultural extension workers, to determine the level of participation of farmers in agricultural extension, to determine the level of satisfaction of farmers to the performance of agricultural extension workers. The research was conducted in Pinggir Village, Buluh Apo, Pangkalan Libut and Sungai Meranti Village. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data sources from interviews, observations and documentation. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the performance of agricultural extension workers in the Pinggir sub-district of Bengkalis Regency has carried out its performance well, the delivery of material by the extension workers is done well so that farmers can easily understand all the material easily, farmers are satisfied with the extension workers' visits because the extension workers are always actively visiting. farmers every month. The level of participation of the farming community in extension activities in 4 villages of Pinggir District, is still low and the performance of agricultural extension in 4 villages of Pinggir District is quite satisfactory with a maximum value range of satisfactory.
