This study aims to determine the extent of the Village Head's Leadership in Organizing Village Government in Bente Village, Mandah District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. In this study using the theory of Veitzhal Rivai, which consists of several indicators, namely the instruction function, consultation function, participation function, delegation function and control function. The formulation of the problem in this study is: How is the Leadership of the Village Head in Organizing Village Government in Bente Village, Mandah District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The informants are the Village Head, Village Secretary, Kaur, Kasi, Head of Dusun and Community. Primary data types are data obtained directly by informants by means of observation, interviews and documentation. While the secondary data collected is from books related to research, journals on leadership, theories, documentation, as well as other data and sources that are needed and related to research. Based on this analysis technique, the researcher researched and concluded that the Village Head Leadership in Organizing Village Government in Bente Village, Mandah District, Indragiri Hilir Regency was good but still not optimal. Because in terms of direction to village officials, it does not cover all things. Both directions on the completion of tasks and directions on providing services to the community. It is hoped that the village head will be able to improve the performance of village officials by making a village regulation on SOPs related to time discipline and the quality of services provided by village officials, so that they can improve the quality and service and performance of village officials.
