This research discusses the illegal distribution of narcotics where narcotics are needed by humans for treatment to meet needs in the field of medicine and scientific studies. On the other hand, it can also cause dependency which is very detrimental if used without strict control and supervision from the relevant parties. The increasingly widespread distribution of narcotics cannot be separated from one of the characteristics of these goods, namely that they cause destructive addiction if they are not used illegally for treatment. The circulation of narcotics in society must be prevented and controlled and must be strictly implemented in accordance with Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. Therefore, the government has regulations and law enforcement so that narcotics trafficking can be eradicated in order to save the nation's generation. The problems of this researcher are: First. What are the efforts to overcome the criminal act of trafficking of methamphetamine-type narcotics in the jurisdiction of the Pelalawan Police from the optics of criminal politics. Second. What is the mechanism for dealing with narcotics crimes such as crystal methamphetamine in the jurisdiction of the Pelalawan Police in the future? In this research, the researcher uses a type of empirical normative research where the researcher uses normative legal case studies in the form of legal behavioral products and the nature of this research is analytical descriptive, namely the researcher provides a complete, detailed and clear picture and analysis of the questions in this research. In this study, researchers used a sample with the main data being primary data and secondary data. Using observation, interviews and documentation methods. This research uses an inductive conclusion drawing method. Based on the results of the research and discussion, the researchers found: First. Regarding the handling of the circulation of crystal methamphetamine from Political Crime optics in the jurisdiction of the Pelalawan Police. So the Pelalawan Police Narcotics Unit took action using penal and non-penal means. Second. Regarding the mechanism for dealing with the circulation of narcotics in the future, the Pelalawan Police Narcotics Unit will add additional police personnel, eradicate narcotics production, increase police personnel, and eradicate narcotics producers. Eradicating networks, maximizing existing human resources, monitoring former narcotics addicts.
