Pengaruh Kompetensi terhadap Kinerja Pegawai dengan Motivasi Kerja Sebagai Variabel Intervening
The current condition of bureaucratic reform efforts demonstrates an endeavor to enhance the performance management of government agencies, both at the central and local levels, including within the Rokan Hilir District Government. The implementation of bureaucratic reform should yield tangible benefits for both the internal government organization and the general public. Civil servants, or civil servants, constitute a crucial resource within a government organization and serve as the backbone for achieving organizational objectives. Given this context, the researcher was drawn to investigate the Influence of Competence on Employee Performance with Work Motivation as an Intervening Variable, focusing on the Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning in Rokan Hilir District. The respondents in this study consist of Technical Employees of the Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning in Rokan Hilir District. This research is of a quantitative descriptive nature, with the Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning in Rokan Hilir District as the research object. The findings of this study indicate that X (competence) has a significant influence on Z (motivation), X (competence) influences Y (performance), and the variable Z (motivation) does not have a significant impact on Y (performance). Moreover, X (competence) has a positive but non-significant influence on Y (employee performance) through motivation (Z).
