Pengaruh Kepemimpinan Transformasional dan Kompetensi Terhadap Kinerja, dengan Motivasi Sebagai Variabel Mediasi pada Karyawan Perusahaan Ritel di Kota Pekanbaru
This research aims to investigate the role of transformational leadership and competence in increasing employee motivation and performance in the context of retail companies. This research was conducted with a descriptive approach and used quantitative methods. Quantitative approaches are used to investigate specific populations and samples, where samples are usually selected randomly. The sample was selected using a random sampling technique so that 100 retail company employees were obtained to become respondents. The results of this research in a direct relationship show that transformational leadership does not have a significant role in improving employee performance. However, competency has a significant role in improving employee performance. Furthermore, the indirect relationship shows that transformational leadership does not have a significant role in improving performance which is mediated by motivation. However, competence has a significant role in improving employee performance which is mediated by motivation.
