Gaya Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah Dalam Pelaksanaan Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar
Kurikulum Merdeka suddenly became a mandatory component in educational organizations, and the reality of its implementation is lacking in socialization, training, and books. This situation impacts the demands on school principals, who must play an active and creative role in seeking information and learning how to execute it. As the helmsman of the educational organization, especially in Elementary Schools, the school principal becomes a crucial factor in implementing this curriculum. This rationale underpins this research, aiming to analyze their leadership style in the process of implementing this new curriculum. The research method used is naturalistic inquiry, which involves school principals, teachers, and education staff in Elementary Schools that have implemented the independent learning curriculum. Data is collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research activities include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research findings indicate that the leadership style used is democratic leadership, which creates a positive model of interpersonal relationships and a task-oriented leadership approach. This has a positive impact on its implementation, leading to a successful execution of the independent learning curriculum
