Analisis Usahatani Padi Sawah di Desa Sungai Upih Kecamatan Kuala Kampar Kabupaten Pelalawan (Studi Kasus Kelompok Tani Roni Maju)

Kuala Kampar is one of the subdistricts with a high contribution to paddy rice production for Pelalawan District, and Sungai Upih is a village with a large rice production area in Kuala Kampar subdistrict. This study aims to analyze: 1) Characteristics of farmers and profiles of paddy rice farming; 2) Cultivation techniques and the use of production factors; 3) Cost, production, income and efficiency of paddy rice there. The method used in this research is a survey method. The selection of this location was carried out purposively with respondents taken at random (simple random sampling) as much as 1 farmer group, namely the Roni Maju Farmer Group with 19 members. The location selection was made deliberately with the consideration that Sungai Upih is one of the villages with the largest production contribution in Kuala Kampar Subdistrict, Pelalawan District. The research will be conducted for 3 months, from April to June 2023.The results showed: the average age the farmers was 47 years, the length of farmer's education was 8 years, the experience of farming was 21.4 years and the number of family members was 2 people. The profile of paddy rice farming has an average land area of 2.03 ha, the number of seeds planted is 26.23 kg/ha with the varieties of seeds planted are stem piaman, inpara pelalawan, mendol pelalawan and Pagar Sari. Paddy rice cultivation techniques applied by farmers are almost in accordance with theoretical recommendations. the average use of seeds is 26.23 kg/ha, the average use of urea fertilizer is 195.58 kg/ha, the average use of TSP fertilizer is 36.36 kg/ha, and the average use of KCL fertilizer is 108, 83 kg/ha. The average use of pesticides Theodan 0.48 Ltr/Ha, Abemectin 0.74 Ltr/Ha, Ken Up 0.18 Ltr/Ha, Polaris 0.08 Ltr/Ha, Bablas 0.27 Ltr/Ha and Gramoxone 0.84 Ltr/Ha. The total cost of farming is Rp. 12,235,296.34/MT. The gross income earned in this farming is Rp. 18,874,800/MT with an average selling price of Rp. 4,200/kg, and the net income earned is Rp. 14,354.943/work/MT then the efficiency of paddy rice farming (Return Cost Ratio) is 1.54.
