Analisis Usaha Agroindustri Gula Aren Di Kecamatan Benai Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi Provinsi Riau

Agroindustry is one of the subsystems of agribusiness that processes raw materials or raw materials from agricultural products to create added value and provide employment opportunities. This study aims to analyze 1). Characteristics of artisans and business profiles of palm sugar agro-industries 2). palm sugar processing technology 3). Production costs, production, income, business efficiency, and added value of palm sugar in Benai District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province. This study uses a survey method. The research was conducted in Benai District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province. Respondents in this study were all palm sugar craftsmen in the research location consisting of 4 business owners and 4 workers. The data collected consists of primary data and secondary data. The data analysis method used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis. Based on the results of the study showed that: The characteristics of palm sugar craftsmen have an average age of 62.12 years and a workforce of 60.7 years, the sex of male craftsmen and female workers, 7.5 years of education (junior high school), business experience 19.2 years old, the number of family dependents is 1.5 people. The business profile of the palm sugar agro-industry is the scale of a home industry business, personal business capital and labor come from within the family. The processing of palm sugar in the study area uses simple technology with the process steps being carried out starting from filtering, cooking, mixing, printing and packaging. The cost per process of palm sugar production is IDR 134,203.51 with the resulting production of 8.23 kg of palm sugar, the gross income received by the craftsmen is IDR 164,600.00, net income is IDR 30,396.49 with an RCR value of 1.22. The added value obtained from the processing of palm sugar per Kg is IDR 1,785.00 with a value added ratio of 43.37%, a margin value of IDR 2,115, labor income of 27.52%, contribution of other inputs of 15.63% and profit craftsmen by 56.23%.
