Analisis Usaha dan Pemasaran Benih Ikan Nila pada Usaha Jaya Abadi Farm di Kelurahan Air Dingin Kecamatan Bukit Raya Kota Pekanbaru Provinsi Riau
Tilapia hatchery business is the main activity or key to the success of nursery and rearing activities. The advantage of keeping tilapia for consumption is less because it takes a little longer to maintain for about four months, while tilapia seeds only take a month to be marketed. This study aims to analyze: (1) Characteristics of entrepreneurs and workforce as well as business profiles, (2) Tilapia seed farming (cultivation technology, use of production factors, costs, production, income and efficiency), and (3) Marketing of tilapia seeds (channels, institutions, functions, costs, margins, profit margins, efficiency, and farmer share). This research was conducted from July 2022 to December 2022. The method used in this research is a case study. Data were analyzed with a qualitative and quantitative descriptive business analysis approach. The results of the research on the characteristics of the age of the tilapia seed entrepreneur and the workforce include productive age, namely 62 years and 25.5 years respectively, 12 years of entrepreneur education (SLTA), 22 years of business experience, 2 family members, length of labor education 13.5 years on average, 1.5 years on average business experience and 2.25 on average family dependents. The owner's pond area is 144 m2. Overall the cultivation techniques carried out by the entrepreneur are appropriate, and have their own breeders. Furthermore, the costs incurred by the tilapia seed business amounted to IDR 13,993,546/month with a profit of IDR 16,006,453/month, labor costs of IDR 8,000,000/month and an RCR value of 2.14 meaning that the fish seed business Tilapia is profitable and feasible to be developed. The marketing channel for tilapia seeds, which is used by Jaya Abadi Farm entrepreneurs, is a semi-direct marketing channel where this marketing channel is sold directly to agents without other intermediaries and indirectly to consumers. Institutions for marketing tilapia seeds include: entrepreneurs, agent traders, cultivating farmers. The marketing functions performed by Usaha Jaya Abadi Farm are: functions of sales, storage, transportation, capital, risk sharing, standardization and grading, marketing information. The marketing cost of tilapia seed is IDR 28.67/head. Marketing margin IDR 100/head. Marketing profit IDR 71.33/head. Farmer's share of entrepreneurs Rp 66.67%. Agent traders 33.33%. And the marketing efficiency of tilapia seeds is as much as 9.56%.
