Efektifitas Penggunaan Metode Audio Lingual Terhadap Peningkatan Muharah Kalam Santri Salafiyah Wustha Pondok Pensantren Durrotul Ilmi Al Islamy
There are four linguistic skills in learning Arabic, one of them is speaking skill. To improve Arabic speaking skill, the most appropriate method to apply is the direct method or audiolingual method. Based on observations before conducting a study at the Salafiyah Wustho of Durrotul Ilmi AlIslamy Islamic Boarding School, it is known that the school that was established in 2021. Most of the students are graduated from state schools, so that they have difficulties in Arabic speaking, both in memorizing vocabulary and pronouncing Arabic expressions. This is an experimental study with a quantitative approach which aims to investigate the effectiveness of applying audiolingual method to improve students’ Arabic speaking skill at the Salafiyah Wustho of Durrotul Ilmi AlIslamy Islamic Boarding School. The population of the study consists of 14 students and a sample of 14 students too. The data collection techniques of the study are test (pre-test and post-test) and documentation. To prove and analyze the data, the hypothesis testing is used. In using the audiolingual method, a significant value of (0.000) was obtained, which is smaller than alpha, namely (0.005), so it can be interpreted that Ha (hypothesis is accepted).
