Penerapan Metode Mind Mapping untuk Meningkatkan Konsentrasi Belajar Siswa pada Mata Pelajaran Fiqih di Kelas VII MTS N Padang Lawas Utara

The problem in this study was the low concentration of students in the subject of Fiqh in the eighth grade of Islamic Junior High School I Padang Lawas Utara. Concentration in learning was very important in the learning process to achieve educational goals. The method applied by the teacher so far had only used lectures. To address this issue, a method needed to be applied that could stimulate students' enthusiasm in the learning process, one of which was the Mind Mapping method. The research question in this study was whether the application of the Mind Mapping method could improve the concentration of eighth-grade students in the subject of Fiqh at Islamic Junior High School I Padang Lawas Utara. This study was a Classroom Action Research with two cycles of actions, where each cycle consisted of four actions: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Based on the data analysis obtained in the field, it could be seen that the students' learning concentration before using the Mind Mapping learning model was categorized as low, with a percentage of 33%. After using the Mind Mapping learning model in the first cycle, the students' learning concentration increased with a percentage of 61%, categorized as medium. Because the scores achieved had not reached the desired results and there were some weaknesses, it continued to the second cycle. In this cycle, the students' learning concentration experienced a high increase with a percentage of 88%, categorized as very high. Since the scores obtained had reached the desired results, the Mind Mapping learning model cycle could improve the learning concentration of eighth-grade students at Islamic Junior High School I Padang Lawas Utara to the "Very High" category, as evidenced by the percentage result of 88%.
